What do you need to ride a scooter. Well, technically, all you need is a helmet and a pair of jeans, say. But it depends on the weather and how far you’re going to travel.

I would recommend riding with gloves in the winter. Even if you think it’s a mild day, once you’re moving along, the wind rush can make your hands cold.

Obviously if you ‘re using it to go to work and you want to arrive dry then it’s best to get a good waterproof suit. Make sure it’s a proper waterproof suit and not a showerproof one. The best ones are very good at keeping you completely drive.

A high visibility bib will keep you seen if you plan on being in heavy traffic.

So that just leaves the helmet. Whether you opt for an open or closed face design is up to you. But take care of it once you’ve got it. Bear in mind that if you drop it on concrete or tarmac you might damage it so that it doesn’t provide the protection you require. So take care.
